Karin LaBanca, PT, DPT, Owner and Physical Therapist

karenheadstarted working in physical therapy at 16 years old, following an injury. She graduated in 1994 with a bachelor’s in physical therapy from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. She has worked in several settings such as: home care, hospital inpatient/outpatient care, and in a center taking care of people with developmental delays. Her interest lies in manual therapy interventions such as: Cyriax, Mulligan, Craniosacral, myofascial release in conjunction with therapeutic exercise and postural education. Karin returned to college at Quinnipiac University to obtain a master’s degree in Orthopedics in 2001. She took several courses there and then transferred to Creighton University for a doctorate in physical therapy, graduating in 2007. Through her doctoral education, Karin learned a great deal about pharmacology, radiology, ethics, health care systems, and anatomy. She opened fisio Physical Therapy & Wellness, LLC in July 2011 and is thrilled to be able to take care of people of all ages in a fun, therapeutic setting filled with music and laughter.

Pam Lehman, Physical Therapist/LATC

is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine and a M.A. in Education. She has been practicing locally since 1985, offering expertise in orthopedics and Pam Lehman picturedance medicine. Prior to joining fisio, Pam was a volunteer at the USOTC in Colorado Springs, CO and was a Company Therapist for the American Ballet Theatre in NYC. She practices with an emphasis on manual therapy techniques, including craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, IASTM and cupping therapy. She is proficient in all aspects of post surgical and post injury orthopedic care, joint rehabilitation, and postural/muscular dysfunction and core stabilization.

Denise Preusse, Administrative Assistant                   

was born in Danbury and she and her husband currently live in Brookfield with their parrot, Elmo.  She has an extensive background in customer services, previously working in various industries inclulding jewelry, dental equipment, manufacturing components and an assistive living facility.  She also worked for nine years in physical therapy in the Brookfield and New Fairfield offices of Physical Therapy Arts, part of the Carlson Network.  She began working there as a Rehab Technician, helping patients with their exercises and worked her way up to the Office Coordinator position.  Denise joined the fisio PT staff in August 2022.

Judy Fredette, Benefit Verification Managerphoto(19)

returned to fisio PT in January 2022 to assist us with patient insurance verification which is a critical piece to physical therapy delivery in the outpatient setting.  Judy brings great experience as she was a critical part of the fisio PT staff from 2015 to late 2020.  We are very thankful to have Judy with us at fisio PT.

Riley LaBanca, Certified Therapy Dog-Greeter             

is a graduate of the Bright and the Beautiful Therapy Dog Program.

She joined fisio PT at 10 weeks old as a clinic greeter and comfort dog.

She brings lots of smiles and love to all of our patients and staff.
